The Mississippi Academy of Sciences (MAS) is an organization of scientists, engineers, technicians, science educators and others from schools and universities, government, industry and business. These individuals, joined by the state's academic institutions and other MAS institutional members, support science in our state. 

A Board of Directors, a number of standing committees, and an executive officer govern and direct the Academy. A state office is maintained in Jackson. MAS also provides a valuable network for Mississippi scientists and offers national contacts through its affiliation with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.
